Third Omet in Zircon in three years!

A devout follower of Lord Shiva, Sanjeev Sondhi heading Zircon Technologies head quartered in Noida and with manufacturing in Dehradun in the North and Chennai in South India is now famous in the label industry in India, not only for his rapid growth but also for his faith and belief. “Bhole ki kripa hai” he says and it means that it is the blessings of Lord Shiva who is also referred to as “Bhole Shankar or Bhole” In August 2013 when we announced the acquisition of a highly loaded Omet Vary flex by Zircon, the industry pears speculated it to be risky decision but Sanjeev proved his detractors wrong and displayed his capabilities to excel and grow in times that followed. At that time in our press release we quoted Steve Jobs, “You can’t just ask customers what they want and then give that to them. By the time you get it built, they’ll want something new”. Zircon has built a mindset in their company to have the capacity and capability before attempting to add more customers so that they can be relied upon to deliver.

In August 2016 yet another state of the art Omet Printing Press was installed and commissioned at Zircon’s Dehradun Plant. It is their third Omet in as many years!  The press installed is a 10 colour Omet X4 370mm width with 2 screen printing stations, one hot foil, cold foil, embossing and two die cutting stations. It has an advanced fully automatic register control system that registers in both machine and cross direction eliminating operator interference to register the press. The machine has a capability to run at speeds upto 200 meters hence guaranteeing a faster ROI to Zircon Technologies, who have very high standards of press acceptance. Zircon employs a workforce of 275 persons and operates out of a shop floor area admeasuring 100,000 Square feet. Another 50,000 square feet additional shop floor area is under construction. Zircon has in the last 9 years of existence invested in an average of more than one press each year. These have all been new high end presses.
